The Golden era of the
Brooklyn Dodgers has always been considered the period from 1947 through the 1957
season (their last in Brooklyn). During that time period the Dodgers would play in 6 World Series
winning only once. 1955 the Brooklyn Dodgers won the NL
Pennant, and then Da' Bums went on to beat the Yankees
in the World Series. These two Pennants historically
mark a moment in time when da' Bums wuz World Champions.
Although breaking the hearts of Brooklynites by moving the team to Los Angeles
two years later. Dodger enthusiasts still pine for their
team, and have made Brooklyn Dodgers memorabilia some of
the most sought after in the hobby.
