Spalding Baseball Trophy

"The Fielder" figural Spalding baseball trophy was one of five trophies sold in the A.G. Spalding Sporting Goods catalog during the 1920's and into the 1930's. Dieges & Clust, makers of the Heisman Trophy, and is best known for World Series Press pins, and Rings produced the Spalding Trophies.

The Impressive 16 inch tall, white metal baseball trophy features a figural fielder reaching to catch a ball, atop of an oblong base. The front of the base has a baseball centered with criss-cross bats behind it. The top of the baseball reads "WON BY" The bottom has the Spalding Trademark Logo, and the sweet spot is reserved for the engraving of the recipients name. This trophy was awarded to the "W.W. Meat Co. Twilight League Champions 1930"

The cross bats and engraving baseball is sandwiched between the words "Spalding" & "Trophy" The bottom just above the black wooden base is an ornate wreath border. The front of the wooden base features the "Made By Dieges & Clust" Manufactures Plate, and a green felt bottom.
