Oklahomans Mickey Mantle, Bobby
Murcer, Troy Aikman, and Barry Switzer
teamed up to help Feed the Children,
which aids children affected by the
Oklahoma city bombing tragedy on April
19, 1995. Mantle and Murcer did a
commercial before Mantle became ill.
When you ordered these calling cards by
calling 1-800-YES-2-KIDS, Subscribers
also received color photos of Mantle
and Murcer.
The fund raising program to sell long-distance calling cards, were worth
30 minutes of service, for $20. each.
Proceeds were split between the Mickey
Mantle Foundation and the Calling to
Children organization in Oklahoma City.
College scholarships for children who
lost parents in the bombing were among
the goal of the program.
