Western Auto Supply Company—known
more widely as Western Auto—was a
specialty retail chain of stores that
supplied automobile parts and
accessories. Western Auto primarily
sold products under their own private
labels, including tires, batteries,
electronics, appliances, and tools.
Western Auto also sold sporting goods,
using the "Western's" private store
brand, with the circle arrow. Around
1956 Western Auto
switched to the Revelation brand of
Sporting goods which also had the
circle arrow logo.
The baseball gloves were made by Rawlings and Denkert Sporting Goods. Like
the Western's baseball gloves, the
Denkert glove logo does not have the
the registered trademark ®, dating them
earlier than the gloves made by
Rawlings with the ®. The circle arrow was
removed around 1965. A stacked "WA"
(Western Auto) logo was added to
Western Auto products to the left of
the "Revelation" script logo beginning
in 1970.
Post 1970 Revelation baseball gloves
models have an 8 digit catalog number
starting with the Prefix "G" There is
also a rare trademark script logo with
"Revelation ®" inside an oval, which
has Denkert's "Pro-Maker" stamping. In 1988, Sears
Roebuck purchased Western Auto.
